I like the site because it connects accountants (and we all know what happens when a bunch of accountants get together). But that is not the most interesting aspect of the site. I was lured in by the free advertising for my 8 Pitfalls book (the fastest selling book on AP Automation – if you buy it before 4/30 you will get a very large discount – see the details at the bottom of the page – that’s right, that was a shameless plug). Now, back to the interesting part. When creating a profile (at the bottom of the page) I was asked to agree to their terms. I hate to write this next line… for anyone that thinks I have any coolness at all – this next statement will seriously challenge that. I read the terms and conditions on the website… there – its out! I feel as though a giant weight has been lifted. I also read the manual to my VCR, DVD, Microwave, Garage Door Opener, Garbage Disposal, iPad, BlackBerry, Garmin, Mitel 5224 IP Phone, Mattress Tag… and Atari 6400 (circa 1981). Phew… it’s amazing the emotional floodgates that open after you let out a secret.
This makes me an authority on mindless ongoing legal chatter. So with all the certainty I have, and with all my past “terms and conditions” experience… ishade.com has, by far, the most entertaining terms and conditions I have ever read in my life… you have to check it out. Nice job ishade!
