Thanks for the memories… but I am not going anywhere

If only a blog could have a music behind it… well I guess it could, but I would not want to do that to you.  You are sitting in your cube, innocently clicking on a blog – then music starts and everyone on your floor thinks your are goofing off!  But… if this blog could have music it would be the song that is played at every graduation, reunion, and going away party (quit – fired or retired) since 1997 – “TIME OF YOUR LIFE”… you know, the song that was played on last episode of Seinfeld.

Here is the thing.  I wanted to do this very nostalgic blog in which I reflect (much like a Happy Days or Joanie Loves Chachi episode) on all of the good times we have had together, and then give you a glance of things to come.

When I created this blog I did so to  promote my book, “The 8 Pitfalls of Accounts Payable Automation”.  That’s right, “The 8 Pitfalls of Accounts Payable Automation”.  Did I mention I wrote a book that can be bought by clicking on this link: click here to buy (shameless enough?) That was on February 12.

A few typos and grammatical errors (and finally besting my son’s number of followers on Twitter)  later I have blogged about:

  • Book Signings
  • Cost Per Invoice
  • New Time
  • Lots of Pitfalls
  • Discounts
  • Eating Steaks
  • Being Quiet
  • Sexiness
  • Tattoos (notice the list gets stranger and stranger)

As I reflected on the words and the subjects, I thought it would be very appropriate to say, “Thanks for the memories.”  Yes, I sold some books (and you can get your copy by clicking on this link: click here to buy).  But, more importantly you (the collective you) have re-Tweeted, Facebook shared, emailed, texted and called about the material I have written.  The conversation sparked on all these major media outlets (except Skype – we will have to work on that) has been remarkable. Thanks!

What’s next?

  • More Cost Per Invoice
  • More New Time
  • More Cowbell
  • Electronic version of The 8 Pitfalls
  • Information about Clouds
  • Extremely Clever Analogies
  • New Book “Two Reason You Won’t Automate”

Hold on an enjoy the ride!
