Let’s face it…. this is the time of year that a lot of us stop working.
When I first got out of college I took a job selling life insurance. I was awesome at it. That year I made six-figures… $2,173.63…. In that wonderful year of being 24 years old, looking 14. I was told that I had to “network”. Not knowing what that was I joined the Kiwanis club. I met a guy there that (at the time) was my age that I am now (or there about) and I asked him what he was doing for the rest of the year… and he said “I am not working… I am done and I am going to take two-week of around Christmas”.
At that time, that was the greatest thing I had ever heard. I could believe that people were able to take off an entire two weeks of work and get paid for it… it was amazing.
Here is the things, however, even though I am at the age and have the ability to take a few week off from writing… I can do it… I love to write, and I love the conversation we have….
Besides… accountants can’t take time off at the end of the year 🙂
